Your website says a lot about you. If your website is not professionally designed, you may be perceived as incapable of providing professional services, whatever that may be.
A brand is a collection of symbols, experiences and associations connected with a product, a service, a person or any other artifact or entity. Logo is a part of the brand. Logo is the simplest way to get noticed because it differentiate your company from the rest. For effective branding, it must be consistent, harmonious and create a pleasant experience throughout.
One of the best brands out there is McDonalds. McDonalds is about high and consistent service standards. Their menu is the same and they are able to replicate it to the dozens of branches around the country. McDonalds' proper usage of logo and the consistent use of the red, black and yellow colours further enhance their brand name.
Another brand I admire is Apple. Their products, software and even their shop is consistent in style and content. Their logo itself is nice to look at.
