LAMP finetuning

Lamp on installation works right off the bat. However, here are my usual changes.

  1. give a hostname.
  2. basic Ubuntu config
  3. change the default MySQL password
  4. Install Mod rewrite
  5. Plug the most common vulnerability. Disable directory indexing
  6. Install PHP libraries.
  7. Download the latest phpmyadmin. For security reasons, please do not put this tool on a public facing website. Also install a fresh version of MySQL workbench.
  8. change the default location of the www files
